ASOS joins global renewable electricity initiative RE100

LONDON, 28th March 2025: ASOS, the global fashion destination, has joined RE100, the global corporate renewable energy initiative bringing together hundreds of large and ambitious businesses committed to using 100% renewable electricity.

The move follows ASOS’ commitment to achieving 100% renewable electricity across all ASOS-operated global sites by 2027, announced as part of its refreshed Fashion with Integrity strategy in late 2024. In its last financial year, 82.2% of electricity procured by ASOS came from renewable sources.1

Through joining RE100, ASOS will prioritise high quality sources of renewable electricity that meet the RE100 technical criteria.

Stephen King, Head of Sustainability at ASOS, said: “We’re excited to be joining RE100 and working together with other members to encourage the use and development of renewables around the world. As part of our membership, we’ll also be connecting our suppliers and brand partners to RE100, helping to drive uptake of renewables within our extended value chain.”

Ollie Wilson, Head of RE100, said: “ASOS is showing climate leadership by committing to using 100% renewable electricity by 2027. Together, RE100 members send a powerful message to policymakers that renewables make business sense, and we encourage more companies to join us and drive forward much-needed market change.”

Led by Climate Group, RE100 was first launched at Climate Week NYC in 2014. It currently constitutes over 400 members across 175 markets worldwide, accounting for over 500 TWh per year in total electricity use.
