Mobile continues to be at the front of our minds and we’re using the latest technologies to push the mobile shopping experience in bold new directions. Our customers are tech-savvy and we make sure to stay ahead of their high expectations.

  • More than 10m active installs of the ASOS app.
  • 7.5m new downloads in 2015/16 alone.
  • Customers use the app eight times a month…
  • … Spending more than 70 minutes on it.
  • 66% of all traffic now comes from mobile devices.
  • 51% of orders are now being placed via mobile.

We built our iOS ASOS app completely from scratch, using the latest technologies. This gives us the power to completely control our customer’s experience of ASOS on mobile. The proof that it was worth it? Our app currently holds a rarely seen 5-star rating in app stores worldwide, plus the (ever-growing!) engagement stats above speak for themselves. Here’s just some of the recently implemented features we’re most proud of:

  • Brand new homepage design.
  • Easier navigation.
  • Innovative features such as spotlight search and 3D touch for iPhone 6S users.
  • Improved quality of our product imagery and improved performance of our video catwalk function.

What’s more, we also recently rolled out a brand new native checkout experience on our Android apps, powered by our new digital platform.

  • This allowed us to remove third-party proxy solutions for language options.
  • It has made the customer experience even more responsive.
  • We introduced this feature to our Russian customers in June 2016 with rollout to further countries expected over the following year.
