Topshop hosts key media in the PR showroom

Moses Rashid

Global Marketing Director, Topshop

Last week, we welcomed some of the UK's leading media titles to our PR showroom for a first look at the latest Topshop collections currently on sale, alongside an exclusive preview of what's to come for Autumn/Winter.

Editors and journalists from ELLE, SheerLuxe, Cosmopolitan, The Guardian, Stylist, The Independent, Glamour, Hypebeast and Rolling Stone spent time exploring the range and getting hands-on with the product. Feedback was incredibly positive, with many commenting on the standout quality of the collection, particularly the premium suede, including the blue jacket and leather pieces, such as the leather longline shorts.

The showroom also featured pieces from Topshop’s newest collection Wild Romance, a collection that draws on pastoral landscapes, vintage heirlooms and a spirit of effortless rebellion. The edit offers fluid silhouettes, delicate detailingand a distinctly contemporary attitude, giving press another strong product story to discover in person.

Soundbites included:

  • Cosmopolitan - Alexandria Dale, Senior Fashion Writer
    • “This is such a treat I feel so spoilt! I love everything
  • ELLE - Lauryn Jean Doherty, Fashion Assistant
    • “I’m obsessed with the zebra heels, they’re perfect"
  • Hypebeast - Emily Watts, Head of Social
    • “This is the most exciting thing that has happened all year
  • Independent - Niki Cottrell, Social Media Editor
    • “Thank you so much for having me, I’ve been obsessed with Topshop recently so it’s great to see everything IRL
  • Sheerluxe - Nana Acheampong, Fashion Broadcaster & Editor
    • “I love the dresses, perfect occasion wear"
  • The Guardian - Chloe MacDonnell, Deputy Fashion & Lifestyle Editor
    • “Everything feels very elevated - some great, versatile pieces within the collection"

Beyond showcasing the collection, the appointments gave us valuable face-to-face time with key media contacts and helped us continue building strong relationships with press. Getting product directly into editors’ hands remains one ofthe most effective ways to bring the Topshop story to life, build excitement for the season ahead and keep the brand front of mind with the titles that matter.
