Last week, Topman hosted an event at ST.ART Gallery to celebrate the winners of its emerging artist competition, created in partnership with the gallery.
Launched in April, the competition invited emerging London artists to submit original designs for the chance to see their work transformed into a limited-edition Topman capsule collection. Bringing Topman’s ‘share the mic’ principle to life, it gave new creative voices a platform, championing London talent and opening up fresh connections between art and fashion.
The event celebrated winners Paul Majek, Akilah Chambers and Caijing Kuang, whose art has been reimagined across T-shirts using screen print, digital print and embroidery, complete with each artist’s signature as a defining detail. Alongside the collection, the evening gave the artists the chance to share their work with a wider audience, raise their profiles and connect with the fashion community.
Around 70 guests attended to celebrate the collaboration, including content creators Dior Dowell, Tia O’Donnell, Eferson Aigbethihmwian, Jay Tagle, Damn Shaq and Shaquille-Aaron Keith, alongside press from Esquire, NOTION, Tirade and Circle Zero Eight.
The limited-edition T-shirts featuring each artist’s print are now available to buy on Topman.com and ASOS.
